Multidisciplinary artist Melbourne, Australia

-----
Chelle Destefano is a multi-medium and multi-disciplinary Deaf woman artist working in performance art, textiles, drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and mixed media
I had a public artwork commissioned for display at the metro tunnel development area near the city baths on 420 Swanston St, among 9 other great artists for Melbourne Midsumma festival and the exhibiton was called Memory Lane. It ran from April 2021 to August 2021. My work was about the Deaf Clap, the memory of the Deaf GLBTQIA community being involved in the Midsumma festival and cheering on in the parade, with hearing allies supporting along the way doing the Deaf clap with the Deafs. The Melbourne icons played a part in the work as a supporting area for the Midsumma festival. The original artwork has since sold. The work that was printed on corflute is available for sale if interested, contact me.
