Tell You Later is a body of work that tells Chelle's story of her personal experience with the audist notion of always being told 'I will tell you later' due to being Deaf, so thus not included in conversations in a hearing group in a family gathering or any hearing social gathering. Many Deaf people experience this a lot times. Chelle's work aims to break that notion and teach people that it is not something Deaf people enjoy, and to try be more inclusive. Chelle's personal experiences with being Deaf are told through her artworks. Tell You Later is a multidisciplinary work that includes performance art, sculpture and textiles, drawing, printmaking and painting, and all these come together to tell her story and her dance performance is the starting point of her perspective of this experience and then it is all informed through works on paper and sculpture works. This work was exhibited at Kings Artist Run Gallery in August through to September, 2024. Her initial performance art was created at Temperance Hall in a quiet space one night on her own, which she recorded, all with the right lighting that set the story, This project was supported by Creative Victoria with their Creators Fund.
